"Today, when she told me she had started her computer courses, I was more than satisfied. She always asked me to teach her the computer, but I have never been able to give her that. Now my heart is at peace." - Karim and Pètè's father
These two children live with their parents, 8 siblings, and 5 additional children in the household. Karim is the oldest and Pètè is his little sister. Their parents both need to beg in order to feed their children. Both children participated in the MindLeaps program over the summer.
When asked about their children, Karim and Pètè’s father replied: “I honestly do not have time to talk with my children, but Karim's mother told me that when he comes home from school, he leaves right away for your program. I know that at least he will not be on the path to beg like me and that is a great relief for me. I know that he is learning things I could never teach him and that's thanks to you. I also worried about my daughter, but today, when she told me she had started computer courses, I was more than satisfied. She always asked me to teach her the computer, but I have never been able to give her that. Now my heart is at peace.”
