Malius was born in the south of Rwanda, near Butare (Huye). He currently lives with his uncle in Kigali. He completed 6th grade before dropping out of school due to extreme poverty and family issues. Outside of MindLeaps, Malius is part of a Pentecostal church; he said that praying is what gives him the most happiness and therefore he spends much time praying.
